HIM-2511 - Healthcare Quality Improvement

A study of the basic knowledge of the principles of quality assessment and improvement. Study provides a basis for developing skilss in collecting and anaylzing data. Topics include health care evaluation systems as well as the role of medical record professionals in quality assessment and improvement, clinical critical pathways and case management, utilization management, and risk. Student will also be introduced to a study of database theory, analysis, and design.
