Hundreds of students will meet with Prince George’s Community College advisors and more than two dozen universities and private colleges in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan area. Bowie State University, Frostburg State University, Georgetown University, Howard University, Morgan State University, Notre Dame of Maryland University and University of Maryland, College Park are scheduled to participate.

Students will ask college representatives questions about individual scholarships and the application process while comparing their transfer options. Maryland has an advanced articulation system to assist students in a seamless transfer from community colleges to state universities. For more information, call 301-546-6000.

Last year, more than 1,000 Prince George’s Community College students participated in fall and spring Transfer Days. A Maryland Higher Education Commission report stated 900 Prince George’s Community College students transferred to area institutions.

According to a Pew Research analysis of census data, the typical college graduate earns an estimated $550,000 more than the typical high school graduate over the course of a 40-year working life even after factoring in the costs associated with going to college.
