NBC4/Allstate Community Shred Event

LARGO, MD -- NBC4, Allstate, and Shred-It have joined forces with the Prince George’s County Office of the County Executive and Prince George’s Community College for the next NBC4/Allstate Community Shred event. On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Shred-It will offer the community a service that helps protect sensitive information and prevents identity theft. At the last shred event more than 2,000 vehicles were served and residents walked away with peace of mind about the safety of their personal information.


What: Community Shred—Community members can bring up to five boxes of their personal documents (no CDs or credit cards) to Prince George’s Community College and we’ll shred them for free. (A $50 value for attendees)


You must drive up with materials to be shredded. Walk ups are not allowed. No business or commercial material will be accepted. Only five boxes maximum per vehicle.


When: September 9, 2016 at 8am to 11am (Vehicles must be in line by 11am to receive service)


Where: Prince George’s Community College (Entry point at Prince Place only)


This event will be open rain or shine. Please do not bring batteries, flammables, combustibles, electronic equipment (hard drives), media materials, binders, or hanging files.
