Professional development is critical to the quality of education at Prince George’s Community College and in our community. For Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, it’s an honor to support education. Last year, the Educational Systems FCU provided over $30,000 in scholarships and awards to the students and employees of the county school systems that they serve.
In honor of Maurice Erly, past Coordinating Supervisor of Staff Development with Prince George’s County Public Schools and an esteemed member of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors, they are pleased to honor noteworthy professionals with the Maurice Erly Professional Development Award--a $1,000 award to be used by educators toward continuing their education, such as workshop registration, certification fees and tuition.

Prince George's Community College is proud to announce that its own, Johnika Dreher, M.Ed, is a recipient of this honor. Mrs. Dreher is coordinator for the dynamic and very successful Owl Success Track-FYE Program at PGCC, and she represents the Student Development Services area. Johnika is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Community College Leadership at Morgan State University where her topic is on Crisis Preparedness in the Community College.

She will use the $1,000 funds to help support her travel to ACPA-College Student Educators International's March 2016 Convention in Montreal, Canada, where she is in the process of submitting three proposals to present. Congratulations, are Envisioning Success!
